Insulvac - truck mounted suction unit for sucking out and disposing of all types of insulation. This includes fiberglass and rockwool batts. Insulation is wet down for safe transport and then disposed of as per EPA requirements. Access to ceiling usually via roof tiles or iron sheets. If access has to be made via manhole, all precautions are taken against contamination. No dust is created in the process. Insulvac can suck from over 100metres, via a 150mm diameter hose, and then a 100mm diameter hose for less accessible areas.

Insulation - we recommend and instal Polyester insulation made by Tontine. Tontine have made allergy free pillows, doonas and furniture wadding for years. And now they make insulation.

Ceiling suckouts vary in cost due to the many variations in size of roofs, degree of difficulty, safety issues, quantity of dust/insulation removed, and cost of disposal. Quotations are usually made during late afternoons after a days work, the evening, or weekend to fit in with the average homeowner.

Welcome to our website!

Ceiling Suckers have been in business since 1988.

We have two purpose built systems:

Hazvac - A truck mounted suction unit with computer operated filtration system capable of handling up to 1000kg of ceiling dust in one day.

Ceiling dust contains lead, residual pesticides, toxic fungi, asbestos and carcinogenic PAH’s. The Environmental Protection Authority, by means of the Lead Advisory Service strongly discourages homeowners from cleaning their own ceiling. It is dangerous, and there is the matter of safe disposal.

Hazvac not only sucks dust, but larger particles via a 100mm diameter hose, from up to 200 metres. It automatically bags the dust, keeping the submicron fine dust within a collector. This super fine dust is specially treated prior to disposal as per EPA guidelines.

Access to ceiling is usually via roof tiles, or iron sheets. If access has to be made via manhole, all precautions are taken against contamination. No dust is created in the process.
